Heather Wright is doing something to fight Breast Cancer
Please support me as I take an amazing journey in
the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile
walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen
for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast
cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. It was October (2008) when the doctors told us the Breast Cancer had spread to her bones. They gave Nana about 6 months. At that time, I felt so helpless. I saw my Nana get weaker every day because of the Chemo treatment. It's been a little over six months now
and Nana is doing better than ever. Her hair is growing back and
her tumor is drying up! I really wanted to do something to
help Nana, so my friend and I decided to participate in the
Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Boston, July 24-26. To qualify for the Walk, we were told we would each have to raise $2300 in pledges. The money will be donated to Susan G. Komen Fund, a fund that supports research for Breast Cancer. I want to walk the 60 miles alongside the thousands of other people who have had someone close
to them affected by cancer. I still have a ways to go to reach the $2300 goal, but I know I'll make it. Heather Wright Heather
