Here you will find what we do, when we do it and how you can join us in making Leeds a city with a clean, green, future! We are currently engaged in a number of campaigns both local and national. We are always on the look out for new members who can support us in any way they can, be it writing letters to their MP, helping us to hold regular stalls, making a financial commitment, or getting engaged with campaigning as an active group member. We are keen to establish links with Youth Organizations, Schools, Churches, Unions and other local stake holders that want to be counted where it really matters - our environment. Latest News:
Leeds Film Festival and Leeds Friends of the Earth present:
Featuring: A question and answer session from today’s environmental campaigners and POLYP author of Speechless the groundbreaking graphic history of the world.Film: Earth DaysFriday 13 November 6.30pm TICKETS
Visually stunning and vastly entertaining, Earth Days looks back to the dawn and development of the modern environmental movement from its post-war rustlings in the 1950s to the first wildly successful 1970 Earth Day celebration and the subsequent firestorm of political action. Earth Days is both a poetic meditation on humanity's complex relationship with nature and an engaging history of the revolutionary achievements -and missed opportunities- of groundbreaking eco-activism http://www.earthdaysmovie.com/.

Thanks to all of you that have supported our efforts by contacting your MP, councillor, signing a postcard or making a donation. There is no time for resting on our laurels however, as 2010 will be a crucial year and we need to capitalize on our achievements to expand the influence of the group within the city and increase our membership
