Principal Investigator: Prof. Taehun Lee

Our group is interested in the development of multiphase/multiscale computational methods for
complex fluids, more specifically in the high-order finite element/spectral element methods and
the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). Using these computational tools, we study
  • Liquid slip on superhydrophobic surfaces
  • Drop-on-demand inkjet printing on patterned substrate
  • Drying drop with suspended solid particles
  • Contact line dynamics in nucleate boiling
  • Sub-cooled pool/flow boiling
  • Marangoni convection in liquid-bridges under microgravity
  • Gas-liquid two-phase flows in microchannels
  • Liquid-liquid mixing and extraction for fuel cycle separation
