Welcome to the Assessment 2.0 Support Site

This is the support website for Lecturer 2.0. The site is currently being developed as part of the workshop "Assessment 2.0: Blogs, Wikis and Media Sharing", conducted at the University of Canberra on 26 March 2010. The workshop is designed to provide teachers with a working model to use Google Blogger and UC Space to assess traditional learning outcomes in a Web 2.0 environment. While there are many sceptics who see Web 2.0 technologies as a passing fad, many employers are identifying skills shortage in university graduates who do not have the skills expected of 'digital natives'. If you are interested in providing students with Web 2.0 skills while providing an appropriate level of intellectual rigour in assessment, then this workshop is for you.

I lecture in Government-Business Relations and Leadership, Innovation and Change at the Faculty of Business and Government, University of Canberra. I am a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon and I have consulting experience with various public, private and community organisations. My research focuses on comparative broadband policy and regulation, the deployment of broadband infrastructure and services, and the use of new media in politics, government, and citizen engagement, from a political science perspective.
