The Wretched Ship

The army now , completely unaware of all this , came slowly marching towards their goal . Xelda suddenly thought it would be best to use stealth to reach the nest of the Harpies . So he ordered the wizards and mages to cast the stealth spell on all of them . After a long march over the mountains they had finally reached the Harpy’s nest . Confrontation began when few harpy scout spotted them . They launched an attack on the weakest group consisting of the women , children and elderly . But unknown to those creatures , among the elderly were high level wizards and sorceresses . They cut down those wretched harpies as they flew in . When the main nest got information of all this they sent a large army to destroy the incoming bat brigade .

Then in the wrecked ship , Sauvé and the other crew members began to pick up the pieces and count the dead . Sauvé could sense that the harpies were more interested with something else . They understood that the harpies had attacked his other army . So Sauvé thought while the Harpies were preoccupied , they would climb up to the nest and kill the Queen . Easier said than done , the queen harpy could easily see them from the top of the cliff . Sauvé used a magic spell to create their dummies . And themselves sneaked out of the place and started climbing up to the summit .

The Harpy attack increase on the journeymen , Aaron’s knights gave orders not to progress further and made their stand there . Wizards set up magical shields and the army set up siege weapons . They were able erect a fortified siege catapult powered by oil and magic which could be used to hurl stones and boulders to almost a mile . They had set up camp about a mile away from the harpies nest . They were in a small plateau , the harpies could been clearly from there . A narrow rocky path leads towards the cliffside where is the harpy nest is situated .

Sauvé and his elite troops climbed closer and closer to the Harpy’s nest , undetected . In the meantime his troops stationed on the Plateau had built a Trebuchet and were using it to bombard the Cliffside the nest was situated . To avert friendly fire Sauvé used the ridges and cuts in the rockside and reached the nest in no time .

The Harpies became and sent their entire army to attack the Army . Sauvé , who was waiting at a side of the nest waiting for a chance , took opportunity and attacked the harpy Queen . Her two sisters guarding were dealt with in no time . The Massive Harpy Queen would have been unstoppable in the playing fields ,but sleeping within the cramped place , she was as vulnerable as a child . By the time the Harpies hear her call and came racing back to the nest Sauvé had cut-off the Head of the Harpy Queen . The Harpies after seen the decapitated body of  their Queen and Sauvé drenched in Her blood ,  became so frightened that they fled as fast as they could and left the Island . Flying Precarious over the ocean and low of stamina , many fell on the water and drowned . Sauvé raised his head an saw the evening sun moving down into the water .
