Award Nominations: Submission Deadline Extended!

This celebration will honor individuals nominated for outstanding educational achievement. This includes, but is not limited to public, private, parochial, higher education, home schooling, and alternative education venues such as independent companies and libraries. We seek to honor those that should be commended for their excellence in service.
 

Award criteria

  • Nominated individuals may be currently working or retired.
  • Nomniated individuals have fostered growth, impacted and/or improved learning for individuals or groups within the local educational systems defined above.

Nomination letter

  • In a one-page letter, please include the contact information of the nominator (name, address, telephone number, email).
  • Also provide the same contact information for your nominee, including (if applicable) the organization with which the nominee is affiliated:
  • Most important, please provide a description of how the nominee meets the criteria.

The content of the supporting statement from the nominator weighs heavily in the evaluation of candidates. Nominators are asked to give specific examples that demonstrate the nominee’s significant contributions to learning.

 

Nomination submission

All nominations should be submitted to Kelly Joyal, Director of Programs and Lifelong Learning at Rivers Run by Wednesday, April 29th, 2009. Winners will be notified on Thursday, April 30th, 2009.

Each recipient will receive an award and gift certificate. Awards will be presented at The 175th Celebration: Learning Through Inspiring Stories: Then and Now, at the opening reception and award ceremony hosted at Rivers Run, East River Road, Henrietta, on Sunday, May 3rd, beginning at  1 p.m.
