What you can expect from LEADS training:

All weekly training sessions at LEADS will be run by a member of the club who has received appropriate training from a Grade 1 KC Approved Instructor (four of our trainers are KC Approved Instructors) and is able to assist you and your dog in the best ways of approaching courses and exercises.

Our weekly training sessions (which are limited to a maximum of 8 dogs and handlers) are usually based on the format of running a course, breaking it down into various elements, with help and suggestions on how to run it from the trainer, and then finishing with a final run of the course. Occasionally a trainers may differ the format slightly to include such things as grids/weaves/contacts sessions, but these are notified in advance on our website and on our weekly booking sheets on club nights. Bookings for lessons can be made in advance on the booking sheets or by e-mail.

We also have a summer and winter club show, fun competitions about four times a year, and invite guest trainers for training days throughout the winter, and occasionally in the summer.

Dog agility training for all sizes and levels of dog. Weekly group lessons, fun competition evenings, training days, fun club shows twice a year, interclub matches, support and show advice in a relaxed friendly environment.

Leads Agility Club is based at Rexon Stud at Lewdown, Okehampton EX20 4DE. It was formed in April 2007 from the original Lower Eastcott Agility Dogs (LEADS) people who trained with Nick Chettle before he and Gill moved to France. We currently have about 40 members.

The club meets on two evenings a week for training and also holds fun agility events.

We are open to adults and children over the age of seven years old. Dogs over the age of twelve months of any size and breed are welcome.

Whether you want to train for fun and fitness or are a keen experienced competitor we are able to offer advice and support to help you achieve your goals.

These lessons will teach you and your dog how to tackle each piece of equipment and by the end of the course you should be able to run a simple agility course. The beginners' course is restricted to a maximum of six dogs.
You will be taught by a variety of experienced handlers who all compete on a regular basis.
