The program consists of an opening session of 5-6 hours, seven topical sessions and a closing session of 5-6 hours. Participants will commit to opening and closing sessions – and actively participate in at least five of the seven topical sessions… if not all seven. “Homework” between sessions includes an hour or so of independent work/reading related to the topic of the coming session, an hour or so of independent work/reading related to the leadership strand, and one activity of an hour or two in duration (either independent or with small group) – such as a police ride-along, a visit to the Frisbie emergency room, a tour of an elementary school, attendance at a City Council meeting, etc. Kickoff session – 9/17/09 – coordinator: Derek Peters resource links from session 1 Myers Briggs Analysis . Governors’ Inn (?), 1 to 6 or 7 pm (?) – Dave Dubois has lead (with Shea) on firming up site, date, times. * Review of the topics/issues covered and of the goals we set in September. * Concluding team building activities – and individual action plans for next steps (post-LR). * Graduation/diplomas for successful completion of the program (active participation & no more than one or two missed sessions).
