Beginning in September each year, Leadership BG is a 9-month program open to owners, managers, and employees of area businesses, organizations, agencies, institutions, and so forth. It is designed to enhance their awareness of their community, the business industry, and foster their leadership abilities. Each class is given the challenge to complete a community project of their choice. This is to allow the class to work together toward a common goal while executing their leadership style.
The Alumni Association allows graduates of the program to continue to learn about the community and expand their network by interacting with other members. There are four quarterly meetings per year, as well as opportunities for continuing education in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce.
The Alumni Association also awards one or two scholarships a year to local students who have completed the high school leadership program.
