I have been thinking about including some sort of feedback loop into the evaluation for the projects for a while now, and the events of the last few weeks in Leadership class have pushed me to react and do something about the concept. I think it is important for project leaders to get some sort of formal feedback information from the users regarding their projects - in simple terms, I want you to find out what people really thought about your project. I would like to know if the users thought it did what it was supposed to do. I would like your input on how to incorporate the feedback into your summary and even the evaluation, so I have a couple of questions that I need you to ponder and respond to. Please take the time to comment thoughtfully on these questions and respond, either below, on the facebook page, or in a personal email. This is an assignment that will count for marks and will be discussed on our Monday and Tuesday meetings. Okay, here are the questions I have for you?
1. What do you want to know from the clients - the people whom you did the project for?
2. Who should be included in the feedback loop? Who has an interest in these projects getting better and better? In other words, who should a questionnaire go to?
3. How many people should you get opinions from? What sort of sample size?
4. What are the possible ways of finding out and recording what people thought about the project? How can we get the information? Also, how can it be presented?
5. Should it be a separate mark for your project assignment or should it be a mandatory part of something else, like the How-To manual score?
Once again, thanks for answering these questions and helping to shape how Ldsp is taught and evaluated. See you on Monday/Tuesday.

It is time for the semi annual self evaluation that forms the basis of your mark for this class. The self evaluation is your opportunity to reflect on your actions as a Leadership student at D.P. Todd so far this year. As explained at the meetings, these assignments are MANDATORY and will
be collected and sent home, regardless of any job action. I have uploaded the self evaluation guide questions for both Leadership 11 and Ldsp 12. Please follow the directions carefully and do a thorough job of the report.
All evaluations are due by Friday, January 20th, EXCEPT for Yearbook students, who have an extra week because they will be finishing a deadline the week of the 20th.

Now that we are 1/2 way through the first semester, we can start
assessing how active you have been as leadership students among the
student body. In the comment section below, please list at least 3
co-curricular events you have attended as a fan/audience member.
Remember the following criteria:
1. You can't count
it if you HAVE to attend - being in the band means band concerts don't
count, acting in drama class means that attending productions does not
count.
2. Multiple occurrences of an event like
a tournament only count as one event - going to a game at 2pm and
another at 7pm only count as 1 event.
3. The
event has to be primarily a D.P. Todd event - watching your friend in
the Bel Canto choir does not count. Watching the D.P. Todd choir sing at
the mall DOES count. You can record it here, in the comment box.
You have until JANUARY 21. |

The Facebook page has a quick poll about the music for the dance and I would like you to take part in the feedback. As well, please leave a comment regarding what went well and what you think could be improved regarding the organization of the dance. The organizing team will be able to use this for their How to Manual.
If you want, you could try to leave your comments on this page, as an experiment of the invitation I sent you. You might have to sign in to the page first - if so, let me know, please. |

This is one that the current 12s did last year, but it is worth repeating for EVERYONE. The instructions are included on the wkst, but briefly, I want you to chose ONE kind act and to do it for a whole week at least, noting people's reactions, both short and long term - I suspect that if you are kind to someone on one day, they will trat you differently for days later. You should post your responses as a comment on the facebook page or below (if you've logged into the page as a contributor - don't know what I mean? then you haven't logged in before). If you would rather respond to the assignment via email or written PAPER form handed in, that would be acceptable as well.
PLEASE NOTE THE DUE DATE IN THE HEADING. |

This one is simple - you need to go to the Leadership facebook page and add a comment to my post asking for your spare blocks. If you have NO spare, then post that you have no spares. THE ONLY WAY YOU WON'T GET A MARK IS IF YOU DON'T RESPOND. |

The first hmwk assg of the school year is HERE! Now that the 11s have practiced their SMART goals, I want each one of you to do two things: 10 is to post the goal you camp up with at the retreat. (2) is to create ONE MORE SMART goal and to post it on the facebook page for Ldsp at DP Todd. It is due by 9 pm on Friday evening. |

The staff would like to be able to honour students who do service for the school even though they aren't getting marks for it, SO if you had someone NON-LDSP work on a project of yours and you feel they would appreciate a certificate of appreciation, please email me with the name.
This is due by May16th
