Description:
Bedford Care Center offers a skilled staff to meet the physical, emotional and rehabilitation needs of residents needing short-term or long-term care.Their rehabilitative care includes therapy service and consistent nursing care. Having recently reopened a wing that was damaged during Hurricane Katrina, Bedford Care has expanded both staff and residents to near-full capacity.

Volunteer Opportunites:

Students can volunteer either regularly, helping with regular resident activities (bingo, coffee socials, etc.) or on an as-needed basis helping with special events, seasonal decorating, etc. This is a great opportunity particularly for students who enjoy and are comfortable working with the elderly.

Requirements: An application and simple background check as well as a copy of drivers license. Hours are 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-4pm Sat-Sun.
