Welcome Luckyday Scholars! The Luckyday Citizenship Program has worked to ensure that the agencies we have approved for our scholars to complete their service requirements in are places where the student, the agency, and the community are all able to greatly benefit by the participation of our scholars. If you have another agency or service opportunity, outside of those listed here, that you feel better fits you, you can fill out a special request form here (please see list below to check for your desired site BEFORE filling out service request form), and you will be contacted with a response within 10 working days. The experience of serving others is not meant to be one in which you leave feeling good only because you have had an impact on someone, something, or some community, but also because you yourself have been impacted. In the case of the Luckyday Citizenship Program, the hope is that you will also be inspired to be a continuing, lifelong contributor to whatever community you are in and that, in turn, will enrich your life as a whole. Please keep in mind that whichever avenue of service you choose, it is important to both you and the agency that you are committed and consistent. You represent the Luckyday Citizenship Program as well as the University and young people in general to an extent. Also, know that the more committed you are to an agency, the more opportunities within it are likely to open up for you! Finally, enjoy the experience, be flexible, and we look forward to hearing about your experiences!!
