At LDMS, our students can earn up to five high school credits by taking World History, Algebra 1, Technical Drawing and foreign language. This opportunity is valuable for many reasons, including exposing kids to the expectations of high school courses, allowing kids a head start in earning credits toward graduation, and challenging those who want and need to be challenged. Just keep in mind that these high school courses will be reflected on the high school transcript and the grades calculated into their future GPA, albeit a very small fraction of it. Additionally, it is possible to have the grades from high school-credited courses expunged from the transcript. Call me with questions about this at 463-2000. |
