This agency provides mental health services for children, adolescents and adults.  For an appointment with a licensed counselor and/or social worker, call the number above.  You will want to explain to the person answering the phone what type of service you are looking for (help with anger management, depression, anxiety, etc.) and be sure to have your insurance information available.  They provide services on a sliding scale, based on income, for those without insurance.

 

Private Providers:

 

Private counselors, psychologists, and social workers are licensed to provide clinical therapy to anyone who needs it.  The following providers will have an answering service, phone mail system, or secretary to take a message.  All of these providers take insurance, and some will work with families on a sliding scale, if necessary.

Rockbridge Area Hospice:

Rockbridge Area Hospice treats, comforts and provides supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County, Virginia.  Vickie Kave, LPC, runs the grief and loss program, which serves area residents.  This program provides support to children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with any type of loss, from divorce to the death of a loved one.
