I'm from Querétaro, Mexico, went to medical school in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and finished my PhD in Medical Sciences - Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada, in November 2007, then I did  a post-doctoral fellowship at the Neuroimaging of Epilepsy Laboratory at the  McConnell Brain Imaging Centre at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill, in Montreal, Canada.

In January, 2010 joined the Instituto de Neurobiología, of the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM) in Juriquilla, Querétaro as an Associate Researcher, and in January 2012 I became Assistant Professor.
