I'm from Querétaro, Mexico, went to medical school in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and finished my PhD in Medical Sciences - Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada, in November 2007, then I did  a post-doctoral fellowship at the Neuroimaging of Epilepsy Laboratory at the  McConnell Brain Imaging Centre at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill, in Montreal, Canada.

Since January, 2010 I am an Associate Researcher at the Instituto de Neurobiología, of the Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México (UNAM) in Juriquilla, Querétaro.
