BroadCom card cannot support Wake-On-LAN feature in Windows 7 | Case:
Dell Optiplex 360 in Windows 7, unable to collect IP by DHCP. (In scenario of HKCTU TaiWo center)
Cause:
- BoardCom NIC unsupport Windows7 "Wake-On-LAN feature"
- It will wait until completion of WOL procedure before process the DHCP
Solution:
- Disable Wake Up Setting in driver, as below
Go "NIC properties"
- Advanced Properties (設定)
- Power Management (電源管理)
Disable check box "Allow this device to wake the computer"(允許電腦關閉這裝置..)
