On Thursday, June 18th, the League City Intermediate Symphonic Band tied for 1st place with Westbrook Intermediate in the Area F Honor Band Competition!
League City has now advanced to the state round of competition which will be held in San Antonio during the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention at the end of July.
As of now LCI is one of 14 bands left in the running for the 2010 Honor Band title!!
Way to go and congratulations to the LCI Symphonic Band!!

LCIS PTA Presents a Grant of $899 to our Band Program
On Wednesday, March 25, LCIS PTA Teacher Grants Committee presented grant checks to 25 LCIS faculty members. Each year, members of staff apply for grants from PTA to pay for extra items or fund activities they need for their students. It's a great program and it allows PTA to directly attend to the needs and wants of our teachers and staff.
Mr. Eger's request for a McAdams Metronome was granted and he received a check for $899 from Committee Chairs, Pearl Hewitt, Julie Hall and Claudia Pardivala.
