Research Welcome to my homepage. My research interests are in the areas of stochastic modeling of supply chain systems, meta-heuristics, and humanitarian logistics. My previous work in supply chain management was largely focused on information sharing using constrained Markov Decision Processes (MDP). More recently, I have been exploring the use of stochastic programming methods to address pre-positioning problems in humanitarian logistics. However, my first love is still MDP modeling. To find out more about the research I am involved in with my students, follow the links to the right. Teaching I teach undergraduate courses in probability, production control, and stochastic operations research (sheer torture for the undergraduates). I teach graduate courses in supply chain management, service sector engineering, inventory management, and stochastic processes (continuous and discrete time processes). Education and Industry Experience Before diving into
a career in academia, I spent 12 years working in industry. A snapshot of my
education and industry background is given below. Refer to my CV for a more detailed list of my activities.
