Once upon a time in a land far-far away… in the Holy Kingdom of Heaven, inside the House of Gaia, lives a maiden name Luna. Luna is the second daughter of Ceres, Goddess of War. A cheerful young angel in training with a twisted personality, her life was about to change for good, for the better or worse, and this is her story.

 

“Go go go Luna… jia you… gambatte ne… or whatever is it…”, as Nona waves her grip palm point at Luna direction.

“Ssshhh… I am trying to focus here… I know I know…” said Luna.

 

Luna put a fight stance ready to battle a hydra, apparently she need to defeat the monster in front of her to pass her final exam.

 

“Growl…” the monster blows a fire of breath at Luna direction.

“Shield!” Luna cast a shield barrier as the fire come fly towards her direction.

 

The shield broke, and Luna got hit by the pressure and she blown backwards by the impact.

“Damn you monster. That is cheating… I have not ready yet!!” she yells.

 

Immediately after that, she forges a sword coming from her right palm. And begin to hack and slash the nine heads of hydra in order to kill it.

After 15mins struggle finally she finished chopping the first eight heads of the hydra she battle with, the last head, apparently indestructible that her sword cannot slash the head.

 

“Now what!” said Luna.

The hydra growl again before it fires a couple of fire balls to Luna direction. She responds with casting a shield, the shield breaks from the first ball, and she got a direct hit from the second and third fire balls. Luna fall down still conscious, she struggles to stand up, the hydra step forward and it turns around use its tail to whack Luna, she evades only to got hit again, this time she got blown away a bit to the right.

 

“Damn I use my power too much just now…slashing the stupid heads”, thinks Luna.

 

Meanwhile Nona still yelling, “Come on Luna, is this what you get, how in the hell you can pass the exam?”

“Well first… this is not hell”, paused.

“Second, someone is trying to concentrate here… so shut up pleaseee…..” Luna yells back.

“This is my last move you monster… behold, witness my ultimate power!” apparently she talking to the hydra, even though it doesn’t understand what she was talking about.

 

“Owner of Heaven, grant my wish to defeat our enemy”, Luna close her eyes as she chanting. She put her sword in front of her against her face.

 

“Overdrive!…”, as Luna saying it out loud, her sword appearance changing longer and broader, this time once again she gather enough strength and ran towards the hydra, it fires a couple of fire balls, Luna slices the balls through with her sword and finally she trust her sword to the hydra neck. Only a bit part of the sword go in, Luna pushes with all her might, the hydra growling in pain as it moves the head around in circling…Luna doesn’t want to give up struggling to hold on to the hydra neck. (yup the hydra is way bigger then her body)

 

“Don’t be so stubborn, and go die peacefully”, said Luna to the monster.

“Thunder”, this time she cast a thunder, a thunder came down from above right fall in to the hydra body, it screams again, Luna push the sword deeper again, she makes a circling move like drilling, leaving a wounded open flesh on the hydra skin, as her right hand still gripping the sword, she places her left palm near the sword with the open wound (the sword is still trust to the heck/head)

 

“Fire!”, cast it right on the open flesh, the hydra move its neck violently, until it slams Luna to the ground Luna fell with her sword still in her arms, she stands up, and make another run to the now growling hydra, she slashes the neck from left to the right with her two hands, this time the sword can cut effortlessly thanks to the previous wound she dealt on the hydra neck. The hydra without the head now fall down died.

 

Luna turns her head to Nona direction.

“Victory!!”, she said.

Nona saw the whole fight from the beginning to end, “Alright that is my girl”,

“You are not my mother, you have not even married yet”,

“But you are my beloved student right? ... Come on let’s go back and report to the Chief Examiner”.

“Let’s go back… I am hungry”, Luna agreed.

Luna and Nona arrived at the Angels Academy Headquarter, the two of them was walking towards the Chief Examiner’s room, when Chione wave and screaming at the same time to them… she have just came out from the Chief Examiner’s room with her Examiner Alastor.

 

“Yahoo… Luna, Nona sis, just arrived?” ask Chione.

“Hei Chione!” Luna replied, now they meet.

“How was your exam?” ask Luna.

“Fabulous!... I got an A!! I killed it in 5 minutes!”

“…” this is Luna dots.

 

“Alastor”

“Nona” The two examiners greet each other, simple and short.

 

“Ne ne… Nona sis, I saw your fiancée just now… on our way back to Headquarter, there was a girl clinging all over him, and it look like He doesn’t mind it” Chione reports to Nona.

“Devon??? ... He is going to die tonight!” Nona crunches her fist and make a fierce facial expression.

“What he is doing anyway, I thought today his mission suppose to help the renovation of Thelema Shrine at Ampere city?” she murmurs.

“Come on Chione do not disturb Nona and Luna, they still need to report back, let’s go to the cafeteria and have some snacks while waiting for them” said Alastor.

Chione listened to her teacher, “Then we will wait you at the cafeteria ok?”

“Sure thing” Luna replied.

 

The twos separated, Chione and Alastor to the cafeteria. Luna and Nona go to the Chief Examiner’s room.

“Excuse Us” Nona knock the door slightly before she opened it.

“Come in” a soft voice come from a lady behind the desk, a very pretty lady indeed. On the desk there is a name plate of Chief Examiner Trivia of Ura.

“Report in Chief, Luna has finished her exam at 15:35 hours.” Nona begin her reports.

“Oh, excellent then, now, can you share your observation memory with me?”

“Yes” she replied.

 

Nona touches her forehead slightly using her left hand, suddenly the bright light coming out from her forehead and slowly it take a form of a projector screen and it begin to show a recording of the event starting when Luna was about to do her exam, to eliminate a hydra.

 

30 minutes has past, and finally Luna finished her opponent, and she was moaning about how hungry she is.

“Heii… why you still capture that scene…” Luna protests, “Stop stop!”

“Ha ha, that is the sound of youth” the Chief remarks.

 

“So Chief, what is my grade?” Luna with her wide kitty’s eyes asks the Chief.

“What do you think Nona?” she asks Nona.

Nona reply her “Without doubt, that was a hell lot of struggling, and ‘C’ would be the best grade for her.”

“Ehhh…” this is Luna reflexes shout.

“Indeed, I agreed with you Nona, then Luna’s grade shall be a ‘C’.”

“Yeah… you can figure it out” said Luna.

“That is terrible… Well at least you passed the final exam, after our graduation ceremony, we will become Angels in full title!” Chione tries to console her best friends.

“But you doesn’t look sad for me” asked Luna.

“Luna… of course I am sad, I feel sorry for you… you are my best friend you know?” as Chione said that, she is in the middle of eating her chocolate parfait, and she is eating it in a messy way, chocolate all over her lips. The view makes Luna more terrible, she feels like her friend Chione prefers the parfait over her.

 

Nona and Alastor are in the middle of discussion not far from them.

“Ice cream cone… that’s it?” asked Alastor, they discusses what dessert to order.

“Yeah, and strawberry milkshake for Luna”

Alastor calls a waiter who stands not far from them, and order some dessert.

 

Not long, the orders arrives, Luna and Nona enjoy their dessert.

“Say Nona, what made Luna to get a ‘C’ for her exam?” Alastor finishes his last mouth of tea from his glass.

“She had a hard time killing the hydra.” Nona answered.

“I did not!” Luna protests.

“Then how much time you waste killing it, you even use your overdrive”

“Ack…” this is Luna voices.

“Overdrive?” Chione and Alastor unanimously asked.

“Yeah” Nona answered.

“Ah…..aaaa… it is not weird you know… I have a freaking low power on elemental casting. Only can use brute force, then again, I am not that strong either” Luna makes a miserably face.

“Chione you are from the House of Vasilis, I bet you just need one cast of Fire to finish off the hydra, no?” she continues.

“Actually I merge my Fire to the sword and then finished off the hydra with one slash” she corrected Luna’s sentences earlier.

“It is the same!!... Now… I feel more inferior and miserably again”, Luna sobbing.

“Now now… it already ended anyway, you cannot change it, what you can do now is keep on practicing your skills and do your missions properly, once you become an Angels in title, you have a new responsibility, got it”

“Make sure make House of Gaia proud” Nona continues.

 

“There you are” a sound come from the cafeteria’s entrance.

A tall figure come closer to them, oh it turns out to be Nathan a childhood friend of Nona, and he is happen to crazily in love with her.

“What are you doing here?” Nona asks him.

“My Lady Ceres were looking for you, and Luna, please return immediately” Nathan replied.

Nona sees her watch and understood what his saying, “Come on Luna we are going back, Mother is waiting”

“Then we are going back too” said Alastor.

Luna listened to her sister and follows her.

“Chione, you cannot bring the glass home!!” Alastor asked Chione to put down the glass.

House of Gaia, one of the three main Houses that rule over Heaven’s realm. They have an independent territory on MagnaTel, capital city of Heaven. A lot of families prosper under the wing of the House of Gaia. Each three main Houses have their own celestial armies, and the one who command them are the Head of the House. A Seraphim in title is the only ‘in title’ allowed to be the Head of a House. Zeruel is the head of the House of Gaia. His wife has two famous epithets first is Goddess of War, an epithet that she got after the conclusion of the Battle of Largos, one of many Battles in the famous legendary War of Heaven II. Second is the most Beautiful Angel in Heaven.

 

Ceres Thrones in title, walks back and forth, she walks in and out of the entrance gate of the main house. Waiting for her children to come back home. Her long gown is so white and long (obviously duhh…) some dirt successfully sticks to the edge of the gown.

 

“My Lady Ceres, please wait inside, you dirtied your beautiful gown” a woman in her middle age come and beg Ceres to go inside.

“Dora… she will not run away right? I mean… she doesn’t know yet... nobody told her about it right?” Ceres frantically ask Dora if the fact she was saying are correct or wrong.

“Don’t worry My Lady, it look like she doesn’t know yet, and nobody has tell her anything yet. Also I already send Nathan to fetch them.” Dora the senior lady’s attendant reassures Ceres. Her posture a bit plump and chubby, but obviously despite of her age she still attractive as ever.

 

Three figures appears near the horizon, Dora noticed that must be them walking back home, “My Lady, there they are” said Dora to the Ceres.

“Oh… you are right”

 

“Mother” Nona and Luna greet their mother together.

“My children, how is your day? And you Luna how was your exam?” asked Ceres.

“Don’t worry mother she passed her exam, and in the next two weeks they will be graduating, and she will get Angels in title.” Nona said, as she trying to push Nathan head away, he stands too near.

“What are you doing, do you want me to use Snow White to your head?” asked Nona to Nathan. Snow White is the name of Nona’s Overdrive. “No no, I am sorry” he covers his head.

“Goodness why you so idiot, find your self a girlfriend, I already have a fiancée” said Nona.

“But I know you first… it is not fair, why you must engage to that son of…”

“Son of what?”

He paused a little. “I mean Son of Daniel”

“Because he is more capable then you, anyway we only childhood friend” said Nona.

“Nathan don’t force your self to the first princess” said Dora, “Come with me, there is something I need you to do” she then dragged Nathan with her.

“Then I will be going Your Majesty, Your Highnesses” Dora bows, and walks away dragging Nathan too.

 

“Come Luna let me take a look at you” Ceres took Luna’s hand and she comes closer to her. “Did you scare? Are you tired, come inside, dinner will be ready in a minute, your Father also will eat to together with us”

“Father? Father is back?” Luna asked her mother.

“Yes, this afternoon”

“Come on lets go inside” Nona walks inside.

The Family is eating together in the long oval table. Luna is eating her favorite food mie goreng. Nona is eating broccoli with oyster sauce, Enel Virtues in title, pats his sister head.

“Dear sis, I heard you got a ‘C’ for your exam” Enel asked his sister.

“Don’t ask” Luna makes a grumpy face.

“Don’t worry, as time goes by you will get stronger, hydra as examination is too stronger anyway” he added.

“How long will you stay in the capital brother?” asked Luna.

“In about 2 weeks” he replied. Suddenly Enel’s facial expression turns sour in a split second, Luna never noticed that, but Nona across the table does, but she decides to keep quiet.

“Dear how is the renovation of the Thelema Shrine at Ampere city going?” Ceres asked her husband.

“Everything is going out well, in fact is already in finishing and general cleaning, so I have some free time at the moment until the Temple re-opening ceremony.” Zeruel replied his wife.

“Then that is mean we can go fishing tomorrow!” Luna is really enthusiast about what activities she goings to do with her father for the next couple of days, she forgot that she just got a ‘C’ for her exam.

“Wow what an enthusiastic girl you are” Nona said to her sister.

“Since when a girl likes to go fishing!” Enel protests to her sister.

“Didn’t Father always take you go fishing…?” asked Luna.

“Well yeah but that was like 700 years ago” he answered.

“Your sister wants to go fishing, let her does what she want to do Enel” Zeruel said to his son. “Then tomorrow we all one family will go fishing ok?” he added.

“Ok!” said Luna.

“Luna after dinner, you are not going anywhere right? There is something we want to tell you” Ceres asking her youngest daughter across the table.

“Well ok” she said. Luna remembers her promise with Chione to meet later at the little park near House of Gaia territory, guess she can wait a while she thinks.

After the dinner, the family went to the recreation room, it is on the second floor of the main building. Luna was enjoying her strawberry milkshake that Dora especially made for her when her mother interrupted her.

 

“Luna you are aware right, what are the contents of the Infinitus Covenant?” asked Ceres. Zeruel, Enel and Nona are presents to inside the room. Zeruel was talking to Enel about the new mission Enel will goings to take. Nona sit down not far from Luna, observing the situation. She is the smartest in the family, she know something is amiss and her Mother was about to drop a bomb, and she hopes she got nothing to do with it.

“Yea.. Why you ask?”

“One of the points is to send them a maiden to be a bride on the other side” she said softly.

“Yeah I know” said Luna. She sucks in a little more milkshake from the straw.

“And the due date is two more weeks” Ceres continues.

“It’s nothing to do with us anyway” Luna interrupts.

“The Elders will not choose a matron or maiden with fiancée like Nona and obviously a minor like me” Luna continues.

“So it is nothing to do with us” Luna concludes.

“Corrects” Ceres agreed. “But there is one thing more dear”

“What is it mother?” asked Nona, she already beside her sister and she is trying to get one mouth from her sister milkshake, they struggle.

Ceres paused a while, inhale… exhale…

“You are the chosen bride” finally Ceres drops the bomb.

“Yeah right” said Luna, still struggling with the glass of milkshake.

“This is not a joke Luna” suddenly Enel open his mouth, “It has been decided long ago, long before you were born”

“Haa??? But why? It doesn’t make any sense? I am a minor?? right mother? Father?” Luna asks as she turns her head to her father and mother looking an answer from their face. At this time, Nona won the glass from Luna, victory.

 

“It is my oath a promise that I made with one of them when I engaged in the battlefield” Ceres paused, and continues.

“He saved my life, and I want to returns the favor, so I voluntarily to give you up for the chosen bride.”

“How can you do with your own daughter mother, why me? I don’t even have wings yet? Why not Nona?” Luna is so angry now, her voice appears distort.

“Because at that time, Nona was already betrothed to Devon son of Daniel from House of Ura”

“And I have not even born yet, what make you think you will have a daughter on your next child? Luna asks her mother again.

“But you are born, and it is fated dear” Ceres doesn’t know if her answer will satisfied Luna.

“Sis, even though mother bore a son, she will bore another child until she gets a daughter so your reasoning is unacceptable” said Nona.

“Oh and here you are talking to me like that, you are not the one to become the bride, you cannot feel the ridiculousness about this.” Luna snaps.

“Luna what ever your reason you can come out, the decision cannot change, you will be send to the Hell’s realm right after your graduation”  said Zeruel.

“Luna dear, I know I am selfish, but I cannot forget myself if I cannot fulfill my oath. Believe me there is no day that I am not thinking if I have made a right decision by giving you up to be the chosen bride” Ceres is trembling as she saying this, and a tear or two drop from her beautiful eyes. She loves her children dearly, and it was a heartbreaker to see Luna at this state.

 

“If the Bride never send to the Hell’s realm as the due date come, it is considered as breaking the covenant, and more and more points will be broke follow this event, until the eventful war breaks again” Enel explained. “Do you want our House to be eliminated because one simple selfish girl doesn’t want to hear her parent’s pledge, instead prioritizing her selfish desire?”

Luna shocked, she never thing too far from that. She loves her family dearly, and she respects her parents more then anyone.

“Don’t scare her brother” Nona finishes the last drop of the milkshake.

“Anyway sis, look at the bright side, you becoming Heaven Ambassador for Hell at the age of 55, not every angel can get that position you know, in fact you are the first one…” Nona took her mother’s cup of tea now, it looks like the teapot still loaded.

“And you can use thelema to call home whenever you want” Enel added.

 

Enel and Nona still continue talking about the good things of becoming the chosen bride, Ceres is crying, Zeruel consoles Ceres, and Luna… she gets lost on her own world, her brother’s and sister’s words come in to the left ear and go out from the right ear, without even saved by her brain before the memory being dump.

Her world is crumbling, her dreams to become the top squad assassin at celestial army is crushed down. Since she will not going to attend any mission anyway… or be promoted in title. Wait… what about her dream of marrying her prince charming with his white horse and such such. And… didn’t mother say that she promised him? That is mean he is at least the same age like mother, when is that… when is the promised made? One of many the battles of War of Heaven II? Weird… I will be marry an uncle, how if he is old enough to be my grandfather? Eh? Maybe he has a wife already, children, eeeeeehhhh grandchildren? Luna shocked in horror again.

“Luna sis are you listening?” Nona shakes Luna’s freezed body.

“Eh… eh what is going on” Luna finally back from her trip to wonderland.

“You didn’t listen do you?” Nona guess and she is right.

“Mother I have a question” Luna asks her mother.

Ceres gather her self, and reply to her daughter, “What do you want to ask dear?”

 

“Who is the man that you have made your oath to? Am I going to be his bride? Or will I become the bride that many demons will have access to? Luna shocked in horror again, she just realize what she was saying.

“I cannot tell you dear, because I don’t even know if he is going to marry you or you will be married to another demon” Ceres answered. “But I am sure you will become the bride of noble demon” continued Ceres.

“So I will become the bride with many demons which can have me?” Luna never listened to Ceres words, she listened but cannot comprehend.

“Snap it sis!” Nona shakes her sister’s body again.

Suddenly Luna remembered.

“Ahah… you said it, he even doesn’t want to marry me” Luna murmurs. She wrong again.

“No Luna, mother said she is not sure if he still wants to marry you” said Enel.

“One more Idiot” said Nona.

“It doesn’t matter at least I know who is the person that responsible for..” said Luna.

“It is not ethic Luna dear, you will be chasing him and killing him if you can, you are my daughter, of course I know what will you going to do” said Ceres.

Luna makes a very weird facial expression, her brother observes her, thinking what to say next.

 

“Ceres dear, you can tell us all, this man has been a secret that you keep for the longest time, don’t you think now is the time to reveal the truth, and beside even though Luna wants revenge, she cannot get it, since he must be a powerful demon to begin with” Zeruel asks his wife.

Enel, Nona and Luna unanimously look in to their mother direction, waiting for an answer.

“Ok if you say so my husband” said Ceres.

“………………..” Ceres open her lips.

They still waiting for an answer well at least a name or some thing like that.

“………………..” Ceres tries to make a sound, but what she does only moving her lips upside down.

“How dare him!” Everybody stunned, don’t understand what the meaning of her words.

“To think he put me under a spell for almost 600 years!” Ceres is angry, oh yeah… she is mad now. In truth the demon who Ceres made an oath with, sealed Ceres voice whenever she trying to reveal who he was to others. Ceres took a paper and now she tries to write his name on the paper, but again, her hand stop moving, no matter she struggles to write, it never even wrote a single letter.

Zeruel understand what his wife going through, He come closer and try to lift the spell, after a while Ceres tries again, but she still cannot say the name nor write the demon’s name. “He is good” said Zeruel.
