“The 2012 Victorian Schools Cycling Championships (VSCC) – a unique cycling competition for school students aged 8-18! Students can race against their classmates, as well as local rival schools in the country’s largest school cycling competition. This years’ series promises to be bigger and better with new venues expected to generate high entry numbers and create a competition to remember!

The 2012 VSCC Road Series includes 9 zone finals and a state final. Information for each zone including start lists, programs and maps will be available to download closer to each event date.

There are 16 races at each event made up male & female, racing & novice, across 4 age groups. The top 3 place-getters for each race will receive a medal and entry into the state final, and the winner of each race also receives a winner’s jersey!  State final champions will receive a jersey to go with their gold medal!

The distances raced are varied for each zone and age group (anywhere between 5km and 24km) due to the varied type of venues used. Check the event specific programs for the distances and race formats for you zone.”
