Mission

Laurin Middle School is committed to the development of good digital citizens by educating students about the ethics surrounding the 21st Century.  Students will use MS Office while learning to use the digital tools of today and exploring Web 2.0 applications.  There are now infinite possibilities to engage students in learning.  As an educator I strive to bring the world into the lab and let the students learn from all that is around them.  In turn, they are given opportunity to be proud of what they can accomplish and can share with others.

I have been teaching at Laurin since 1992 and spent 18 years in the seventh grade.  I have a M.Ed. in Educational Technology and was pleased when the school wanted to start a computer class.  I plunged right in developing curriculum and still change things up to keep the class interesting and find things that will engage the students.  I attend yearly conferences that promote new trends in educational technology and love to come back and share with the kids.  I look forward to meeting your child and challenging them to learn something new.
