A Tiny Queuing System for Blast Servers

Back in 2005, Colas Schretter, former colleague at the Free University of Brussels and I developed a set of shell scripts  that implemented a rudimentary but lightweight and easily extensible queuing system. We initially developed it for to perform blast searches that were run on the computing server of the UEG. The blast searches were run in the frame of oligonucleotide specificity checks of the OligoFaktory software (online application now migrated at the LANE laboratory, stand-alone version available here - more info on OligoFaktory here and here).

This tiny queuing system is described in the following documents:
Note that the two documents are very much redundant in their content.
