Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) was started in 1998 by a dad. Today, more than 1500 programs in 36 states and New Zealand participate in Watch DOGS. We are proud to be one of them!
Program Goal - To help every school in America be positively influenced by the committed involvement of fathers and father figures in lives of their children and students.
How It Works - Dads volunteer one or more days (30 minutes at a time) at LHES. Watch DOGS volunteers perform a variety of tasks. Currently we are focusing on assisting in Kiss and Ride between 8:30 and 8:55am and 3:30pm until all students are gone.
If you can donate one day a school year, one day a month or one day a week the children will be ever so greatful to see that their Dad's are at school to help. It brings a smile to the faces of many children and it is a great help to staff. There is a special vest you will wear while on Watch Dog Duty, please return it to the office when you are done your shift.
