Well, the truth is that every garden is a gift from and a tribute to the Earth goddesses. Of course, not every gardener tills, sows, and harvests with an intention to honor a deity. Those of us who set out deliberately to create a Goddess Garden have many different reasons and motives for doing so, and many different thoughts on the design of gardens. There is really only one element that is required – the Goddess Garden should always be viewed as a sacred space! If you bring compassion, peace, and respect to your garden, all other elements are a matter of personal preference – flowers or vegetables, monochromatic scheme or an explosion of color, straight rows or chaotic maze.
