Building a Garden with Landen.
Today was on of those days that not even a million photographs could explain. I awoke early this morning to my 16 month old son entwined in my arms. He was gazes up at me and cooing,"Momma". He was excited to be awake. We had a simple breakfast. Toast, juice, fried eggs, strawberries and coffee. I was anxious to get outdoors to build our garden. After breakfast Landen did what he always does after he's managed to wake me up and get me full of coffee. Landen decided it was time to go back to sleep.
I embarked into the outdoors alone. Every mother knows that the minute your child falls to sleep. You must dash instantly to get everything done before they awake. I was hauling log rounds from down by the creek. I carried them up the hill. Loaded two or three of them in the wheel barrow. Then I wheeled them over to the spot that I was debarking them. They debarked easily because they had been left to rot for almost an entire year. I thought hauling the log rounds up the hill was hard manual labor. That was until I started hauling silt up from the swamp.
