Leisure

Les Villas de St Cast suggests various activities:

Children’s clubs

During the spring and summer school holidays, your children are being taken care by beach clubs, where numerous activities are offered to them.

Sports

Sailing

At Saint Cast “passion” the sailing schools invite you to discover the fantastic stretch of smooth water and teach you how to sail from the beach or from Pen Guen on windsurf, catamaran, dinghy or kayak.

You may also, if you wish, use the installations of the Saint Cast port to set your motorboat afloat or to rent one. The new deep water port counting 750 moorings, will be operational in June 2009.

Golf

The Pen Guen golf course borders and overhang the beach bearing the same name. The routing of 13 holes owes its difficulty not only to the beauty of the landscape. The club house, giving direct access to the beach, provides one of the most beautiful views of the coast. The training courses at various levels are excellent and reasonable priced.

Horse riding

The riding school has a good standard. At the “Bois Bras” club, you will improve your skills, whatever your level and age class.

At the Calas stable, Jean Yves will let you discover his secret paths and make you  gallop on the beach or during low tide, in the Saint Jacut bay.

Tennis

The “la Garde” tennis club awaits you for lessons (training courses during school holidays) or just for playing tennis (6 courts of which 3 hard sand courts and 1 court covered).

Swimming

The seawater swimming pool is located in the centre of town, in front of the sea, ideal for children being taught how to swim, while the parents bask on the beach. The patience and the commitment of the instructors warrant for a quick learning.

Diving

Two diving schools in Saint Cast are eager to make you discover this sport and the sea beds of the area.

Hiking

Many walks are possible, starting at the “Pointe du Bay” and trekking along the “Grande Randonnée” paths which border the sea.

Sightseeing

Around Saint Cast, many sites are worthwhile visiting. Cap Fréhel is amongst the nearest. This natural reserve is situated near the first buoy of the “Route du Rhum” competition. Nearby, Fort la Latte and its magnificent promenade.
