La Trobe Philosophy Postgraduates' Colloquium
The online home of the postgraduate students in Philosophy at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia
The philosophy postgraduates at La Trobe meet to give and receive papers, discuss, sometimes to watch a film (of philosophical pertinence, of course), and generally to make merriment of one kind or another on a fortnightly basis.
Postgraduates, honours students, and staff from La Trobe or any other institution are encouraged to attend. See the events page for details (link below). We also invite participation from genuinely interested parties not tied to a specific institution.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers are required to fill the events program for second semester. The colloquia provide the ideal forum to test a paper you're working up for a conference or publication, summarise a chapter of your thesis, or even just bounce some ideas around for discussion and clarification.
Those interested in philosophy and film are also invited to present a film of their choice to the group.
Please direct any enquiries to Paul Fearne.
