With La Trobe University you can just study Hindi on its own or study Hindi as an elective in a degree. What's more you can study with us at La Trobe University's Bundoora Campus in Melbourne, or through the internet from anywhere in the world.
  • Are you In Melbourne and just want to study Hindi?
    You can just study Hindi with us on its own, at the Bundoora campus in Melbourne as a single subject enrolment. Beginner's classes meet twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday from four to six during first semester 2011.

  • Are you anywhere in the world and just want to study Hindi?
    You can study with us via distance education through Open Universities Australia. We now combine the use of print and audio materials with teaching in a virtual class room (Elluminate) which offers voice over internet, text based chat and sharing powerpoints.   • Do you want to take Hindi as an elective in a La Trobe degree?
    If you are a student taking a degree at La Trobe you can do Hindi as an elective within many degree programs.

  • Do you want to study Hindi online as part of an OUA degree?
    If you are studying with Open Universities Australia (OUA) you can take Hindi as an elective within a number of degree programs offered through OUA.

  • How much does it cost?
    Costs vary depending on how you are studying. If you are studying on campus at La Trobe you should consult the faculty office over costs. If you are studying via OUA you should consult their website for details.
     
  • When do on campus Courses start in 2011?
    The next on campus courses start on 28th February.
  • When do distance education courses start in 2011?
    The next distance education courses start on March 1st 2011 and enrolement for them closes by mid February.
  • How many courses do we offer?
    We offer four courses, two
    elementary (1st year) courses and two intermediate (2nd year) year level courses. Each course runs for three months and they are offered twice a year starting in February/March and August/September. On campus courses in semester one are Hindi 1a&2a and in semester two Hindi 1b&2b. Distance education courses are all available twice a year.
