Program Overview The Mentorship Pathways Program is aimed to help students to build positive relationships and find potential mentors. Participating students will be matched with a junior or senior student who commits to offering support and advice to their freshman mentee throughout the academic year. The comprehensive nature of the learning opportunities provided by the Mentorship Pathways Program insures that there are many ways for students to participate. The program builds on offering extraordinary opportunities for building connections to the positive role models that can help future Latino Penn students create a clearer path to success. This program offers students a wide range of culturally appropriate learning developmental opportunities and services. The program provides exactly the personal touch Latino students seek. Mentor Role MPP is currently accepting applications for Latino mentors for the 2009-2010 school year. Mentors are expected not only to remain in regular contact with their mentees, but also to attend MPP social and leadership events. Overall, mentors attend about 2-3 MPP events per semester. Types of Events Social: Bowling, Ice-skating, appreciation dinner, etc Leadership/External: Networking Reception, MPP Issue exploration, Project advising, etc Application Process MPP seeks mentors who have involvement on campus and have participated in leadership roles.
