Teachers


Las Manos employs native speaking, experienced, passionate teachers. We only select teachers who are able to make long term commitments to their projects and to the children they teach. Because of these requirements, Las Manos teachers are paid professionals rather than volunteers. Volunteers do a fantastic job in many charities, but the reality is that few can afford to stay for a long time, and that few are fully qualified to teach. The children we work with typically come from educationally poor backgrounds and have special requirements from their teachers. Long term, qualified and experienced teachers are best able to help with the progress of such children and to modify their style and the resources available to best fit the children’s needs.
