Larry Shao is an active member of the Taiwan salsa community; he choreographs, performs, instructs, DJs, and promotes salsa events. He has been dedicating his efforts in promoting On2 style since his relocation to Taipei in 2007(thus the nickname “Larry On2”). He founded Taipei Mambo Project in 2008 and has taken his choreographies internationally (2008 Seoul Salsa Congress, Hong Kong Salsa Festival 2009). Larry choreographs collaboratively with dancers from different disciplines and continues studying other forms of dances to advance his salsa.Fostered by the charismatic community in San Francisco, Larry trained under Mambo Romero Latin Dance Company from 2004 until he returned to Taipei. During that period of time, he has also studied with many New York talents such as Eddie Torres, Thomas Guerrero (Santo Rico), Delille Thomas (Mambo D), and Nelson Flores (Descarga Latin Dance Company). He made his debut Salsa Congress performance in 2006 in San Francisco.
