The preliminary garden design has been prepared and discussed with North Sydney Council.  The final design is still under discussion with the Council.

Meanwhile, the Council has arranged to spray weeds and remove dead trees on the site, and has consented to us engaging in a number of weeding bees to remove unwanted undergrowth as part of the Council's bush regeneration and Streets Alive program.

The first weeding bee will be conducted on site on Saturday, 28 November 2009 from 9am-4pm.

We would love it if you are able to come and help.  If you are, please let us know in advance (email larasgarden2009@gmail.com), as we will be arranging a sausage sizzle and refreshments.

Please make sure you bring sunscreen and a hat, wear long sleeves and covered shoes, and bring a trowel, secateurs and lots of grunt.

A followup weeding bee will be held on site on Saturday, 5 December 2009, from 9am-4pm.

The Council will arrange to remove the garden waste.
