Work has started on the construction of the much anticipated Montaña Roja Golf Course, with completion scheduled for summer 2012. This 18 hole course will be situated just to the north of Montaña Roja (Red Mountain); and will comprise a playing area of 700000 square metres, 4 lakes, and a prestigious 5800 square metre club house and country club. This will make Lanzarote a mainstream golfing destination, and together with the planned deep harbour to accommodate luxury cruise liners, is expected to make Playa Blanca the number one des-res of the Canary Islands.
Close to the site of the Montaña Roja Golf Course planned for Playa Blanca (see above), this spacious 3 bedroom apartment is offered for sale or long term rental.

There are several apartments and bungalows on the same complex as the apartment described above that are advertised privately for sale by the owners. In addition to these, there are a few properties that do not seem to be explicitly for sale (to our knowledge) but are clearly neglected by their respective owners. These properties are structurally sound*, although improvement to varying degrees will be inevitably necessary. It is here we believe that there are potentially some amazing bargains to be had, in that the respective owners might very well be receptive to offers - no matter how 'ambitious'!
