LVN

The Language Village at Nabeul (LVN for short) is a summer language camp organized by the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education since 2006 for 600 undergraduate students in partnership with AMIDEAST Tunisia and the British Council Tunisia. The main objective of LVN is to expose students to English and let them communicate in a more efficient way. LVN is also a unique environment for cross-cultural exchanges since no less than 15 departments of English from all over the country take part in it (Greater Tunis area, Sousse, Sfax, Kairouan, Jendouba, Béja, Gafsa, Moknine, Nabeul, Gabes, etc.).

Some fifty British and American students, recruited as "Language Fellows", take part in LVN and add to the cross-cultural exchanges. In LVN 2010, forty students are coming from the UK and ten others from the USA. Ten Tunisian students, who have just returned from a Fulbright program in the States, are recruited as "LVN Guides" to coach students and encourage them to speak English all the time.
