A friendly club rowing traditional fixed-seat pulling boats in Langstone and Chichester Harbours on England's south coast.
Rowing is just about the best exercise you can get, using almost all of your muscles but without high impacts. We row on some of the loveliest waters in the world, teeming with wildlife, and it is enormous fun. The club welcomes rowers of all standards, from elite oarsmen to complete novices. There is rowing to suit everyone, from Sunday paddlers who just want to get out on the water for fun, to rowers who compete in local regattas and national events such as the Great River Race, where Langstone Cutters have a formidable record of success. If you want to know more, click on the Contact Us page.
Club rowing is on Sundays, at high tide - all are welcome (if no row is listed, it's because the tides are unfavorable). Just turn up at the slipway between the Royal Oak and the Old Mill in Langstone and tell the beachmaster you would like to have a go! Saturday and Wednesday rows are organised in advance, so if you fancy going contact the organiser listed in the Rowing Diary page, or one of the club contacts.
