The Chicago Public Library is looking for high school volunteers. This opportunity will enable you to help your community, support your local library, develop problem solving skills, enhance your leadership skills as well as receive service learning hours. Are you a dog lover? Are you dependable? Do you need service learning hours? If you answer yes to all three questions the Chicago Canine Rescue Animal Shelter is the place is for you. Dependable people are needed after school and on weekends to assist in the kennels with cleaning, feeding and socializing with the animals. You if you are 18 years old or older you can be an official dog walker and take select dogs for their daily walks. During your lunch period, please see Donna Slowik in the Hewitt College & Career Center, room 135, for additional information and an application.
