MESSAGE FROM YOUR PTA PRESIDENT
On behalf of the 2011 – 2012 Lane Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Board, I would like to welcome back those of you who were here last year and those of you who are new to the school this year. I hope that you and your families enjoyed the summer.
This past summer the Board has been hard at work selecting new and exciting activities. For up-to-date and late breaking information on activities and events, follow us on Twitter (@LanePTA) or "Like" us on Facebook (Anthony T. Lane Elementary PTA).
We are always in need of volunteers and there are numerous opportunities to get involved that can accommodate everyone’s schedules, including parents who work fulltime. Parent volunteers and community involvement during the school year are essential for a successful PTA.
In addition to volunteering, the Board encourages all families to join the PTA at an annual cost of only $10 per individual. Support from our PTA membership has funded, among other things, enrichment programs for before, during, and after school; teacher professional development; and new learning technologies such as smart boards.
To learn more about the PTA and how you can get involved, please attend one of the meetings or reach out to your Board members. We look forward to a great school year and hope to see you at our upcoming events and our meetings - held on the first Tuesday of each month from 7pm to 8pm.
Respectfully, Jaurin Joseph President , Lane Elementary PTA . |
