Program Mission and Standards

Landstown Football Mission :

The 2012 Landstown Eagles football team embarks on a foundation of anticipation and excitement in a new era of challenges as a football student athlete.

Our expectations of our players come from a new attitude, and behavior in which they have challenged themselves on and off the field of play.  Players have shown the ability to adjust to a new instructional approach of teaching of basic fundamental skills to be a football student athlete at Landstown High School.

The coaching staff has set simple goals, and developed new strategies for acheivement. They involve the core principles of effort, integrity, and solid work ethics in achieving prospective goals.

The 2012 football players have challenged themselves in this off-season program from February through June.  Our players have participated in the football program Afterschool Academic Study Period (teacher tutoring) to focus on Academics.  Our players also participate in 3 to 4 days a week weightlifting and conditioning/agility workout sessions to improve their strength and agility to perform on the field.

In 2012 football season the team’s motto is “We Build Student-Athletes".
