Fundraising

Swim-a-Thon:
WHO:  EVERY SWIMMER on Churchill Swim Team (with help from parents to count laps)
WHAT:  Swim-a-Thon is a fundraiser in which the swimmers gather pledges from friends and family (form available for download below).  These pledges can be per length of the pool or a flat donation.  Swimmers will have 1 hour to swim or kick as many lengths of the pool as they can.  All of the money goes to the team fund for gear and much needed team equipment.  This fundraiser allows swimmers to earn money toward their suits and apparel.  Each swimmer is expected to raise at least $10 for the team.  Any amount above that $10 may be used to help pay for suits, t-shirts, etc. for that swimmer.
WHEN:  The swimming will take place at 3:45 p.m. on December 9th and all donations are due December 18th (the following Friday).
WHERE:  Echo Hollow Pool
HOW:  With the help of parents!  We need parents to help count laps for those swimming.  If you are available on December 9th at 3:30 p.m., please send an email to Megan so we know how many parents to count on for help!  Thank you in advance!

Clean-up @ Mac Court

WHO:  EVERY SWIMMER on Churchill Swim Team and parents who are willing to help (the more people we have the quicker it goes).
WHAT:  We will be cleaning up at Mac Court after a men's basketball game.  Don't worry you won't be picking up garbage with your bare hands... the facility will provide us with the proper tools to get the job done.  Many other teams do this as a fundraiser so I'm sure some of you know what it is all about.  We will be earning money for our team to buy much needed equipment like fins and lap counters.
WHEN:  January 16, 2010 (time TBA)
WHERE:  MacArthur Court at the University of Oregon.
HOW:  With everyone's help!  We need at least 35 people to get the job done which means everyone needs to be there unless otherwise arranged with Megan.

Check out In the News to see how it went last year!
