About Us...... We have been involved with the support group since 2007 when Tim was diagnosed with PD. We were both so devasted and were looking for some guidance and help. What we found was so much more. We found a group of people who were open and willing to share their experiences and ways to handle day to day situations given our "new normal". They let us know that we are not alone and that we are all going through the same journey together. With the help of God and our new found family, doors have opened up that we never dreamed were out there. Little did we know that Tim's PD diagnosis would lead to so many positive things.

Adam's father, Ted, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease over 20 years ago. Ted's most challenging symptom was freezing - the disease progressed so that for regular periods throughout the day he was unable to move. To help this symptom, Ted underwent Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery in 2009. That year Ted and his wife Linda moved into the in-law suite at Adam & Michele's house so that Adam & Michele could assist Linda with caregiving. Since that time, Linda has also been diagnosed with Parkinson's. All four of us have learned a lot through the progression of the disease as we have sought creative aids and learned the importance of exercise to delay the disease.
