My name is Gail Nobles, and I’m only somebody to the fact that God has made me. Other than that, I’m nobody. I am nobody to man. The most important thing is that I am somebody to God. You might say, “Who is this girl writing and making art about Laila Ali?” I’m just somebody that has a brain that stores information, and I turn it loose by writing and drawing it. It has no where to go but online. I’m always thinking on things I am interested in. When I saw Laila Ali in women’s boxing, I became interested in watching women’s boxing. It was all because of Laila Ali. I have been writing, drawing, and thinking about her and her boxing for that reason. She has done a great job in boxing. It has been fascinating watching Laila box the way she does because she’s a woman. I have never seen a woman box before. Laila Ali makes me ask the question, “Can I do that?” I have known some women to be very tough fighters. My mother was one of them physically and mentally. She just didn’t box, but she could fight using her fist. She had big hands and was heavy handed. I’m sure women have been fighting for a long time. Now Laila is making it known inside the ring as a professional fighter.
