The Laguna Woods Village Library is adjacent to the Historical Society and near Clubhouse One. The total book, magazine and paperback circulation exceeds 140,000 annually. The Library is staffed by Laguna Woods Village resident volunteers and is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 AM until 4:00. The Library is also open on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. until 6 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM until 1 PM.
The Laguna Woods Village Library possesses a wealth of literary material, from the usual library classics to the latest best-sellers. It Houses an impressive non-fiction collection that includes hundreds of celebrity biographies to a complete selection of fiction that offers romance to westerns, it offers something for everyone. Many of the library’s books are available in large print also.
Continuing to satisfy the modern public’s desire for assorted media, the Laguna Woods Village Library also offers books on audio cassette which have proven to be one the library’s most popular offerings. In addition the library offers hundreds of new and classic movies on video cassette, as well as another increasing library collection of movies on Digital Video Disc (DVD.) You’ll also find hundreds of CDs of recorded music available that includes some of the greatest and most popular music ever made.
All you need is your Laguna Woods resident I.D. card to borrow “a few of everything” for two weeks with extensions available when necessary. |
