Christopher and Jordan met in 1997...She was a freshman, he, a junior in High School. The couple dated for a year and a half and went their seperate ways when he went to college.
Through the coercing of a mutual friend (and now groomsman), Brian, they met up and started talking again in the spring of 2004. That summer Jordan was interning in NYC, and Christopher came to visit from CT almost every weekend.
Christopher proposed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on February 23, 2007 and 14 months later, we're MARRIED! It was, without a doubt, the best day EVER!
The Proposal
Christopher proposed in the Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitain Museum of Art on February 23, 2007. It was perfect! We followed the museum visit with a terrific dinner at BB King's Jazz Club in Times Square.
The Wedding Weekend
We had a destination wedding in Rockport, MA. It's a quiet little town about 40 miles north of Boston. Rockport is our favorite place to vacation (we go at least 4 times a year), and we can't wait to share it with 53 of our closest family members and friends!
Rehearsal will take place on Friday evening at 5:30 in the Meadow. After rehearsal, guests who have arrived early will be treated to a fun and casual welcome dinner at Top Dog of Rockport. It's a quirky hot dog joint that serves hot dogs (and veggie dogs) with every topping you could imagine. We'll also offer fresh local chowder, clam strips, chili, and chicken fingers.
The wedding will take place on Saturday evening at 5:30. Immediately following the short ceremony, guests will walk up the street (I can't wait for the looks we'll surely get) to the Art Association for dinner and dancing until 10pm.
Before everyone departs for the weekend, we will be hosting a brunch at our rental house on Sunday morning.
