Poetry

Welcome to my little red writing hood. Some little, some red, some writing and some hoods, hooding and hoodlums.
I'm not responsible for any apparent pathologies - actually I'm not very good at putting things into lines really, not as good as putting lines into me... I just do whatever.

"Not everyone likes poetry, because not everyone understands poetry.

Far away from any literary philosophy, narrative technique or even simple linguistics, poetry can be anything it wants to be.

Therefore, anything and everything can be turned into poetry. Every poetry can be grasped, in one way or another.

Is it not the passion and insight of our grasp, that determines whether or not we truly hold something dear?

Poetry is passion, and insight. Poetry is a language of soul, expressed in the language of one's soul."

I started writing poetry
around the time I was 15. What began with scribbles - often scribbles that didn't (seem to) make much sense - has now become somewhat of a passion in its own right, without my having been really aware for all these years how much passion has really gone into it.

I've catalogued most of my poems, in periods that are chapters in my life - reflected in what and how I wrote. Some work was translated from Dutch, some was written in English originally.
Each period has randomly selected posts. Enjoy...
