What Selma has been up to: September 8: FIRST Genuine Smiles!! So Beautiful! September 22: Chatter box. Selma gets in a chatty mood especially when getting her diaper changed, and makes lots of cute sounds. She talks to you when you give her a chance to respond! September 29: PLAY time: We play the face game, if you smile at Selma, she will smile back. Stick out your tongue and Selma will imitate! October 15: Who needs a pacifier? Selma found her fists and can put her whole hand in her mouth to suck on rather than waiting for a binky. October 20: Volume Control !!! Selma figured out how to turn up the volume when she is talking, she can now chatter on and you can hear her from the other side of the house! October 24: LOL =) Very brief, but I definitely heard Selm laugh today while we were goofing around! November 5: Holding Rattle all by herself. Shakes it around and occasionally knocks herself in the head. November 7: Selma can now move the things she is holding up to her mouth to taste them. Let the games begin! December 1: Hand control is great -- Selma is reaching for and grabbing everything mom is holding! (or mom/dad's mouth/nose/hair, etc.) January 31: Sitting up pretty sturdy, don't even need the boppy to steady me while I play. February 5: I can move! Selma can roll over back-to-front and front-to-back several times in a row and move across the room!
February 22: Selma does the "backwards scoot" on her belly to move. March 18: First real crawling ... three or four crawls ... chasing after my ball! March 27: Professional crawler ... I can get wherever I want to go now, my favorite place is under the table! April 7: Making lots of new sounds...raspberries to babbles that kind of sound like dadadada, babababa. Loves to practice these new 'words'. April 13: Pulls herself up to half-stand using anything that is the right height. May 15: Clapping
May 20: Shaking her head NO
July 6: First real steps (one or two)
