The following buoys are maintained by NOAA. They help mariners and forecasters gain important information about the current and predicted conditions at sea.

How we use bouy info

The KWS is interested in the water temperatures near New England. Temperatures of 40°F or below around the area often ensure that snowstorms will not turn to rain when a wind blows East (off the ocean). So, if you like snowm hope that it goes to 40 or below.
