August 2010 Dear KT Murphy Families: On behalf of KT Murphy Elementary School, we welcome you! It is always exciting to start a new school year, for our returning children and especially for our new students entering Kindergarten. Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has put together this Website to let you know about the wonderful opportunities that we offer at KTM. As an organization that represents the interests of all KTM students, we invite all parents, guardians, and staff to participate in school functions as their time and interest allow. Being involved in PTO is a great way to support our school, meet others and, most importantly, show our children how much we care about them and their education. There are many supportive families here at KTM and there are many ways to get involved! If every parent gave a minimum of 1- hour a year to help with an activity or event, imagine what we can accomplish! KTM PTO has an open door policy and we encourage everyone to help make our school the best it can be for our children and our community. Remember, even small endeavors can have a large impact. Every seemingly little bit of time and effort will go a long way toward making this a memorable, enriching, and educational year.
