About Me

   I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in human nutrition and dietetics from Kansas State University in 2006.  I also completed a secondary major in international studies and a minor in music.  During college, I spent one semester in Costa Rica, studying Spanish and learning from another culture.  I completed my dietetic internship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon.  Since graduation in June 2008, I have joined my husband in New York City and am starting my career as a dietitian.  My interests, other than nutrition, are traveling, baking, hiking, going to the movies, and exploring New York City. 

 My Goals

    1.  Pass the R.D. exam on August 29, 2008.

    2.  Secure a full-time job in New York City by September 2008.

    3.  Attend at least 2 networking events for dietitians during fall 2008.
