The 19th Club explained

The 19th Club @ Kent & Surrey Golf Club is a members club where all sections join together under the '19th Club' umbrella.

Our purpose is to

  • be a membership wide means of communication about club related issues
  • co-ordinate a varied calendar of section competitions, competitions between sections and matches with other clubs
  • act as a forum for discussion about the course, the clubhouse and membership related matters
  • represent members in discussions with management

We want to

  • promote a happy and friendly atmosphere within the club, where everyone is treated with respect
  • raise the profile and prestige of the Kent & Surrey Golf & Country Club within the county and wider golfing community
  • organise and promote social and fund raising activities
  • promote the fair playing of the game according to the recognised rules and support  the county golf associations

How does the 19th Club work?

  • all members of the Kent & Surrey Golf Club automatically become members of the 19th Club for as long as they are members KSGC
  • the 19th club has a committee comprised of two representatives from each section who are the Captain and Vice Captain of each section although (alternatives may be nominated by a Section to represent it) and a representative of the Junior section. A member of the management is invited to attend all meetings
  • the committee hold at least 6 meetings a year

How do I raise an issue?

Points to be raised should initially be taken to your sections committee who can then coordinate views and ideas from the section and then escalate to the 19th club committee. Should a member have an issue with their own section the member may wish to approach members of the committee directly.
